Agtegra Cooperative is looking to add an Aerial Bookkeeper to the Huron Aerial location. This position will work closely with the location manager and members by rendering prompt, effective, courteous, and accurate bookkeeping services in conformity with approved accounting procedures, practices, and policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for answering the telephone, providing information and/or transferring calls to the appropriate person in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Process incoming inventory into the accounting system in a timely manner.
  • Ensures all invoicing for customers is accurate and done within 24 hours of transaction being completed
  • Submit in a prompt manner, all bills and invoices approved by the manager to corporate office for payment.
  • Develop plans and procedures in conjunction with the location manager for the most effective use of working time.
  • Maintain constant awareness of the locations accounts receivable including monitoring and posting a monthly no-credit and over-limit credit report.
  • Assist and advise patrons on products, services available, patron accounts, membership regulations, and other areas involving both the local station and Agtegra Cooperative.
  • Compile daily bank deposits and maintain accurate cash till position.
  • Verify employee time cards for manager approval. Making sure there are no missed punches or discrepancies in time punches.
  • Responsible for all aspects of seed ordering, invoicing, inventory control etc.
  • Responsible for knowing all aspects of invoicing and inventory control associated with the use of the "AGRIS" accounting system.
  • Load small door-trade items when other personnel are not readily available.
  • Maintain sufficient inventories of all office supplies.
  • Maintain office equipment and keep work area neat and clean

Education and Experience Required
  • One year certificate from college or technical school or 6 to 12 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
