Hours Per Shift: 8 hr
Perform preliminary screening examinations and/or tests to facilitate diagnosis and treatment by the provider. Assist the provider with procedures and care of the patient. Collect subjective and objective ophthalmic data from the patient or caregiver and communicate this data to the provider.
Assist physicians in performing ophthalmic procedures, including surgery. Complete medication reconciliation and ensure medication security. Take and document patients' medical histories. Maintain ophthalmic instruments or equipment. Operate ophthalmic equipment, such as autorefractors, phoropters, tomographs, or retinoscopes.
Looking for an individual with excellent customer service skills. Eye experience not required. Comprehensive orientation provided.
Basic Life Support Certification required. High school graduate is preferred. Will provide training and education for required skills. Previous health care experience or training in ophthalmology, optometry, and/or optical office preferred.
