JOB SUMMARY

Coordinates and oversees operations and activities of clerical employees. The daily administrative support operations within a complex/varied work environment. Assist in resolving problems related to office operations. Provide expertise on the internal processes to ensure optimal department productivity and customer service. Must have knowledge of organization policies and procedures. Knowledge of fiscal management and human resources management. Knowledge of computer system and applications. Knowledge of health care administration principles. Skill in verbal and written communications. Skill in gathering, analyzing and interpreting information. Ability to exercise initiative, problem solving, and decision-making. Ability to apply policies and principles to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations. Ability to work effectively with patients, physician, staff and the public. Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions. Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Ability to react calmly and effectively in stressful situations.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Train or instruct employees in job duties or company policies or arrange for training to be provided. Interpret and communicate work procedures and company policies to staff. Discuss job performance problems with employees to identify causes and issues and to work on resolving problems. Provide employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems or in resolving escalated complaints or disputes. Supervise the work of office, administrative, or customer service employees to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors or problems. Strives to complete assignments according to established quality measures. Demonstrates open, friendly, accepting, and supportive behaviors with team members. Takes personal ownership of and strives to meet assigned accountability expectations.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science or a related field of study is preferred. Previous aquatics experience preferred. WSI & lifeguard certification required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Additionally, may be required to obtain and subsequently maintain specific competencies and certifications based on facility needs, including: Aid certification and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification required within 30 days of hire.

QUALIFICATIONS

Associates degree in a secretarial or related field and/or three to five years related experience required.
Based on facility needs, may require a valid drivers license and maintain a good driving record.
