Job Details
The Business Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting the business operations of a specific department or division of the organization. This position serves as a liaison between various internal departments and external business system vendors. The Business Operations Analyst will typically serve as the first to review, troubleshoot, and make determinations on the best course of action to resolve departmental issues to ensure consistent operational efficiency.

Experience Details: Minimum of 3 years of business operations, data analysis, insurance or related experience is required.
Equivalent combination of education, experience or training determined to be acceptable by Human Resources may be substituted, unless regulated by contract or program standards

Essential Functions
- Identifies, researches and troubleshoots a variety of system and process issues impacting the overall business operations of the department/division.
- Functions as a liaison with various internal departments and external business system vendors until full resolution is achieved.
- Collaborates with staff on process or system issues.
- Maintains advanced knowledge of multiple systems in effort to support the overall functionality for the entire department.
- Identifies features or methods to maximize the capability of individual systems or methods to create synergies between multiple systems. Works to implement project plans to capitalize on process improvements. Develops/writes/reviews business requirements for system changes/enhancements as well as performs user acceptance testing as the changes are made.
- Prepares and distributes departmental reports/metrics to leadership.
- Makes determinations regarding the appropriateness as well as the level of testing which occurs with new system upgrades, or the launch of new software. Performs validation and other types of system testing at various points in the process to ensure overall optimal functionality.
- Analyzes and promotes business enhancement efforts with the goal of creating a positive impact on the customer experience or geared towards creating efficiencies; actively involved in design and implementation of these efforts to ensure the system design fits the needs of our customers both internally and externally.
