Job Summary:

The Process & Training Specialist authors, reviews, develops, and releases product development processes and training content for members of the Product Development Team. This person will also manage Product Development metrics and dashboards. The Process & Training Specialist enhances the competencies of individual employees by designing and conducting process and training programs that will boost employee's workplace performance in alliance with company's core values. This role takes direction primarily from the SVP, Product Development, but reports to the Manager, Engineering Services.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
  • Manages all Cirrus Design Engineering Procedures (CDEPs)
  • Authors, reviews, develops, approves, releases, and trains CDEPs
  • Solicits requirements to streamline Product Development processes
  • Develops training packages for all CDEPs
  • Manage metrics and dashboards for Product Development
  • Identifies training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses
  • Translates requirements into training
  • Builds annual training program and prepare teaching plans
  • Directs structured learning experiences and monitor their quality results
  • Acclimate new hires to the organization and conducts orientation sessions
  • Delivers training courses
  • Assesses training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employees work behavior
  • Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure that they reflect any changes
  • Stays abreast of the new trends and tools in employee development
  • Designs, develops, and produces training materials including printed, visual, and electronic media
  • Develops eLearning curriculum and content using appropriate authoring tools
  • Supports administration of our Learning Management System (LMS), including enrolling users and assigning curriculum and courses
  • Collaborates with manager and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate deliverable

  • Knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles
  • Adequate knowledge of learning management software
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques
  • Familiarity with talent management and succession planning
  • Ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis and calculate training ROI
  • Sound decision making and organizational skills
  • Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Proficiency in MS Office and in database software
  • Familiarity with metrics and dashboards and their development


Education and/or Experience:

BS or BA degree (preferably in a process, training, or lean discipline)

Demonstrated Proficiencies/Skills/Abilities:
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read, write and speak the English language.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills including ability to communicate process and training related content to groups and individuals.
  • Ability to analyze issues and resolve problems with the scope of the position
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Able to perform classroom training
  • Analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills, including the ability to comprehensively analyze and interpret policies, procedures and situations in a multifaceted way and possess strong problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions to complex issues.
  • Initiative, including the ability to research, suggest, and initiate improvements and efficiencies in processes, procedures, and contract language.
  • Ability to establish project plans, regularly monitor and track progress on work projects, and ensure appropriate communications with project partners.
  • Ability to use Learning Management Systems
  • Flexibility to work the number and schedule of hours needed to accomplish regular and ad hoc job responsibilities.
  • Experience with process documentation
  • Experience with PTC Windchill is preferred
  • Ability to develop onboarding curriculum
