Job Details

The Corporate Pilot will gain experience in many different areas within the Flight Operations department. The Corporate Pilot's primary responsibility is ferrying aircraft from Duluth to Knoxville to support customer aircraft deliveries. Other responsibilities include acting as pilot in command of Cirrus aircraft while performing CFR 14 part 91 corporate flight operations, maintaining return to services flights, and repositioning of corporate aircraft. Excellent airmanship and problem solving skills under considerable autonomy are required. The ability to understand and use planning resources and proper flight planning and execution is a must.

Essential Duties:
  • Conduct delivery ferry flights to Knoxville, TN, from Duluth, MN, while ensuring the utmost care and attention to aircraft cosmetic appearance and post flight test systems operation.
  • Conduct Corporate missions based in Knoxville, TN and throughout the United States.
  • Assist with ramp operations, aircraft movement, fueling, cleaning, etc.
  • Escalate customer and internal pilot issues to the Senior Flight Instructors
  • Facilitate maintenance and ferry squawks on newly certified and corporate aircraft.
  • Operate Cirrus aircraft in accordance with applicable regulations and Cirrus company policies.
  • Make timely and accurate decisions regarding safety of flight.
  • Manage travel expenses in accordance with Cirrus company policies.
  • Act as pilot in command of Cirrus aircraft while performing corporate flight missions and ferry flights.
  • Process and maintain a deep level of aircraft knowledge and be a model aviator and Cirrus representative.
  • Perform normal pre-flight and post flight inspections as well as clean and service assigned aircraft.

Education and/or Experience:
  • 500 hours of total flight time required
  • 50 hours of Cirrus experience preferred
  • IFR in congested airspace, mountain flying, icing conditions, IMC flight, and night experience preferred.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities:
  • Good airmanship and interpersonal skills required
  • Experience operating aircraft tugs and fueling aircraft preferred

Certificate or Licensures:
  • FAA ASEL Instrument Rating and Commercial Pilot License required
  • FAA 1st or 2nd class medical required
  • FAA ASEL CFI(I) preferred
