HME Coordinator - Full Time

Lakewood Health System has an opening for a Home Medical Equipment Coordinator / Customer Service Representative at our Staples location.

The HME Coordinator/Customer Service Representative provides customer service to Lakewood Health System Medical Marketplace customers through patient intake, insurance prior authorizations, order entry and follow-up calls.  They are also responsible for ordering, maintaining and managing inventory as needed.  The HME Coordinator must learn and understand in detail the medical equipment and supplies offered and must be able to relay this information to the customer/patient. They will also provide retail store coverage.

This is a full-time position working 32 hours every two weeks, Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00AM - 4:30PM and once a week from 10:00AM – 6:30PM when needed.

Qualifications:

• Two years prior experience in a home medical equipment or hospital/clinic billing setting is preferred.
• Ability to organize, coordinate and prioritize tasks
• Must have excellent customer service skills
• Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
• Confidentiality and integrity are a must
• Current driver’s license
