Primary Objective of Position

To plate components in a manner that will meet or exceed established product quality and safety standards while meeting production metrics.

Job Responsibilities

Technical Job Functions

• Primarily operate one of the plating lines and the ability to run other areas of the plating department including all appropriate testing of parts, and other tasks related to that plating line with little or no supervision, in an efficient and timely manner while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• May clean parts using degreaser, and/or operate other plating lines, heat treatment, and water treatment with supervision or as assigned with appropriate training.
• May train others in operation of plating lines as needed.
• Participate in solution of issues related to process, documentation, plating and quality problems.
• Observe established safe working and housekeeping procedures. Promptly correct and/or notify Manager of hazardous situations.
• Participate in and take proactive roles in AS9100, ISO and Lean Manufacturing methodologies for problem prevention, corrective action, identification and solution verification.

 Authorities and Responsibilities              

• Assume other projects and responsibilities from time to time as directed.
• Regular and predictable attendance is presumed to be an essential function of all employment.
• Position reports to Production Supervisor. Has contact with internal and external customers and co-workers.
• The position is accountable for producing quality parts on a daily basis with limited supervision. Must know and plate to process requirements at all times and make bath replenishments as needed. Team performance measures are directly impacted by actions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

Basic Qualifications

• Two year degree preferred or High school graduate or GED minimum with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years experience in a similar manufacturing environment desired.
• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
