Job Details
Virtually evaluate designs of Company components, systems, and products to predict design performance using the latest in engineering simulation tools.
Provide simulation results interpretation and communication and make recommendations for design improvement.
Role & Responsibility
Virtually evaluate design performance
- Create, modify, analyze, and maintain the engineering simulation models of assigned projects.
- Guide engineering decision-making by providing reliable fluid and structural analysis insights.
- Recommend and evaluate design solutions that improve cost, manufacturability, quality, and performance.
- Execute product verification plan by implementing current CFD and FEA best practices.
- Develop innovative new simulation solutions to increase speed of product verification.
- Use problem solving skills as well as internal and external resources to troubleshoot simulation models.
Additional Responsibilities
- Define and guide tests to verify simulation solutions.
- Correlate simulation results with test data and make refinements as necessary.
- Demonstrate competence in CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) skills and knowledge of company systems.
- Work concurrently with several design and test teams across multiple product groups and sites.
- Manage priorities of multiple groups.
- Independently communicate simulation status and results to supervisor, design teams, and management. Lead collaboration with design teams to define component/system requirements and develop innovative design solutions to meet those requirements.
- May supervise and assist in the training and development of co-ops and student development interns.
Job Requirement
- Stong knowledge of engineering calculations and principals
- Experience with engineering simulation software preferred
- Experience with test and validation methods preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Competency with MS Office Suite. Advanced computer skills
- Bachelors or Masters Degree - Mechanical or Ag Engineering
- 2>5 years experience - level dependent on experience

What skills, education, and experiences does your ideal candidate(s) have?
•Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
•These are entry level opportunities
•Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly. Must have the ability to work rapidly and under time pressure for extended periods of time in order to meet build requirements. Must possess the ability to read build sheets and blueprints.
•The ability to communicate with supervisors and fellow workers in both written and verbal forms at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED is required.
•Job specific skills, techniques and safe work and equipment operating practices are learned through on-the-job and classroom training. General instructions are given on recurring duties, operations and assignments; detailed instructions are given on new duties, operations and assignments.
