Summer Internship (May - August)


Position Overview
The Supply Chain Analyst Intern is responsible for supporting the wide-ranging activities of the Supply Chain Solutions group by gaining extensive customer & supply chain knowledge and assisting in evaluating custo mer and Digi-Key supply chain opportunities.

Responsibilities

Must be able to...

• Gain Sales and Supply Chain knowledge for assigned regions
• Provide additional support for internal and external customers regarding specific supply chain programs as a Supply Chain Analyst backup, as well as overall knowledge of all of Digi-Key sales process
• Support internal customers by responding in a timely and professional manner
• Communicate all pertinent information as received to appropriate people/departments
• Understand area KPIs (e.g. new supply chain programs, new part adds to programs) and how your role impacts those metrics
• Learn and apply the functionality and processes of MRP and bond programs
• Partner with experienced SC Analyst; assisting them in their responsibilities, learning the role, processes, systems along the way
• Build and manage the relationship with the field Supply Chain Managers/Directors
• Proactively manage future opportunities; scheduling customer follow-ups, BD follow-ups
• Participate on and provide recommendations for continuous improvement opportunities within Supply Chain Solutions; specific to role, team, assigned area of focus
• Seek new opportunities for learning; skills, knowledge, etc .

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Minimum/Essential Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Currently enrolled as an undergrad student working towards a degree in Business, Logistics, Communications, or similar area of study or equivalent, relevant work experience
• Demonstrate expertise in Excel (e.g. V-look-up, Macros, Formulas, Pivot Tables)
• Desire to learn supply chain principles and processes
• Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen
• Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body
• Must demonstrate the following behavioral competencies: attention to detail, communication, customer/client focus, ethical conduct, initiative, manages execution, personal effectiveness/credibility, positive attitude, problem solving, professionalism, project management, thoroughness & time management
