Summer Internship (May - August)


Position Overview

The Search team is responsible for driving traffic and visibility to Digi-Key's website from search engines through both paid and unpaid efforts. The Search Engine Marketing Intern is responsible for analyzing, optimizing, and the reporting of internet marketing campaigns and research activities.

Responsibilities

Must be able to...
  • Update SEO specs and perform backlink analysis on live content where needed
  • Handle day-to-day paid search campaign management including ad copy testing and campaign optimizations
  • Increase website traffic, engagement and sales conversions
  • Analyze data from multiple sources to best optimize campaigns
Other Typical Tasks...
  • Take notes and help execute activities that results from Search Engine Marketing efforts
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars
  • Take on additional responsibilities from the Search Engine Marketing Team Lead

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Minimum/Essential Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Currently enrolled as an undergrad student working towards a degree in Marketing, Business, Math, Finance or similar area of study or equivalent, relevant work experience
  • Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen
  • Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body
  • Must demonstrate the following behavioral competencies: attention to detail, communication proficiency, customer/client focus, ethical conduct, initiative, manages execution, marketing capacity, personal effectiveness/credibility, positive attitude, problem solving/analysis, professionalism, project management, time management and thoroughness
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of backlink strategies and SEO-friendly writing techniques
  • Knowledge in the following tools/systems: Google AdWords, Bing Ads, Yahoo Japan, Baidu, Naver, 360, Bid Management Tool Experience, Excel & PPT, and Analytics - GA
  • Google AdWords certification
