We are looking for an experienced and organized payroll manager to join our team. The payroll manager will be responsible for ensuring the swift and accurate completion of all employee pay. They will be in charge of organizing and overseeing any updates, changes, or onboarding needs of the company payroll system. The payroll manager will also be in charge of following all legal requirements for taxes, audits, and other reporting

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Update and organize systems to manage payroll information
* Process bi-weekly employee payroll payments on time and through the appropriate channels
* Prepare and organize financial statements for filing and review
* Manage time cards, time entry, and timekeeping software and systems
* Verify all overtime hours with the appropriate management personnel
* Oversee internal payroll and accounting audits on a semi-annual basis
* Maintain general ledger with regard to payroll transactions
* Maintain payroll records and employee files, provide documents as requested from HR staff
* Set-up new employee information and accounts
* Onboard new employees on time entry system (ADP)
* Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting
* Ensure company complies with all additional legal and regulatory requirements regarding payroll processes
* Responsible for commission plan enrollment, changes and reporting

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

* 2 years' previous experience as an accountant, accounting supervisor, manager, or related position
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration with an emphasis in Accounting, or a related field
* 5+ years' experience in human resources, payroll or accounting for a corporation
* Excellent computer skills; experience in payroll software; additional system knowledge a plus
* In-depth understand of payroll procedures, laws, taxes, and best practices
* Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
* Ability to uphold privacy and confidentiality with the utmost discretion
* Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
* Precise attention to detail
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
