Job Summary:

Provide robust, effective, reliable, cost effective instrumentation solutions on all product development team projects.

Essential Duties:
  • Lead development, installation, functional verification, and maintenance of test instrumentation, telemetry, and communication equipment.
  • Coordinate with instrumentation contractors and suppliers.
  • Gather and record test data.
  • Maintain instrumentation and support project schedules.
  • Maintain test equipment inventory and instrument calibrations.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

Verify that work completed by technicians meets the design and implementation intent.

Attendance/Overtime-Punctual; observes appropriate break and meal periods; properly notifies Supervisor within designated timeframe in case of absence. Overtime hours may be required.

Written communication- Writes clearly and informatively, edits work for spelling and grammar.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering related discipline.

Engineering experience: 5 years.

Engineering Flight Test Instrumentation experience: 2 years.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities:

Experience with Flight Test Telemetry systems.

Experience with modern aircraft avionics systems technology.

Good communication, computer, leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Understanding and application of EMI/RFI, signal shielding, and electrical bonding principles.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of computer programming, spreadsheet, word processing, Visio, and PowerPoint software.
