Job Description: This position is a vital member of the pharmacy team and will assist in the adjudication, processing, packaging and distributive functions of the pharmacy working under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. They will maintain a high level of interaction with specialty pharmacy patients and providers to ensure prescriptions are being filled and delivered to patients within the service standards of the pharmacy. Will assist in many aspects of the daily pharmacy department activities including: resolution of customer service issues, billing, record keeping, clerical duties, monthly audits, and other functions necessary for optimal specialty pharmacy performance. Team members within the Essentia Health Specialty Pharmacy will have an opportunity to be part of a rapidly-growing pharmacy practice that supports optimal patient care through meaningful interactions with Essentia Health patients across our system, our patient care teams and by leveraging our Electronic Medication Record.

Work Experience:
1 year of pharmacy experience (i.e. technician). Experience must include working with patient medication profiles and pharmacy claims adjudication and billing.

Previous experience working with patient medication copay assistant programs as well as experience with prior authorizations.

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test

National pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) required
