Cirrus of Grand Forks is looking for Technicians for the ODMP (Ovens/Detool/Mold Prep) division of our facility. The Cirrus Facility in Grand Forks produces composite "fiberglass" parts such as Wings, Fuselages, Horizontals, and their accompanying parts for the Cirrus SR20, SR22 piston airplane, and the SF50 Vision Jet. Cirrus is committed to your success. Our comprehensive training program, Cirrus University, will provide you with the hands on training and mentoring you will need to be successful in our Manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties:
• Must be certifiable.
• Attention to detail required. Must be able to work as part of a team. Ensures that all assigned work areas are kept clean, orderly, and presentable at all times. Applies the 6S principle (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety). Wears proper protective equipment during appropriate job functions. Complies with all paperwork, such as work instructions, that govern job duties. May be assigned to different work areas as production needs require.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Team Lead, Department Supervisor, Line Manager, or appropriate designee

OVENS: Run ovens to cure composite aircraft parts, repairs and bonds. Load prepreg lay-up parts in oven, program DAQVIEW and oven, monitor oven run utilizing oven controls and DAQVIEW, unload oven to de-tooling area.

DETOOL: De-bag and Drill Primary tooling holes & de-tool parts from molds without damaging part and mold. ID parts according to process.

MOLD PREP: Prep mold by removing flash, cleaning with PMC, and applying release agent.

THERMOFORMING: Material is heated to a pliable forming temperature, formed to a specific shape in a mold, and trimmed to create usable product

Additional Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities:
• Must have knowledge and skills to use small hand tools, (drills, wrenches)
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret blue prints, specs, technical procedures or regulations. Ability to write routine reports and procedures. Ability to communicate and respond to common questions from supervisors, leads and co-workers. Ability to effectively present complex information to management.
• Mathematical Skills - Ability to calculate figures, measurements, proportions, angles, in relation to drawings and blueprints. Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
