JOB SUMMARY

The Associate Interior Finish Technician is responsible for the removal and installation of wall vinyl, paint, casework finish, and wall hangings required for wall finishing projects in a safe and professional manner. Must be knowledgeable in paint, paste, casework finish, wall finish product applications, and small wall patching repair. May be required to assist other Construction Services trades to complete construction projects. Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Must be able to differentiate colors precisely. Utilizes varies machines/equipment such as paint sprayers, vinyl machine, and basic tools. Must be able to work on high equipment, such as lifts, ladders etc. Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment. Requires flexibility with indoor and outdoor working conditions. Keeps in compliance with the Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA). Travel may be required (10%).

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Cover surfaces with dropcloths or masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting. Smooth surfaces, using sandpaper, scrapers, brushes, steel wool, or sanding machines. Apply paint, stain, varnish, enamel, or other finishes to equipment, buildings, bridges, or other structures, using brushes, spray guns, or rollers. Fosters strong customer relationships via delivery on commitments, open communication, and on-going feedback/improvement. Read work orders, blueprints, plans, datasheets or site drawings to determine work to be done. Assesses compliance with industrial and organizational building regulations. Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

When applicable, may need a valid driver's license. If valid driver's license is required, must maintain a good driving record. Trade school, vocational school or apprenticeship in interior finish related field preferred.
