Overnight Stock Clerk

Responsibilities

The purpose of this position is to provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service. In addition the Night Crew Clerk will stock, rotate, and replenish product to shelves and maintain displays overnight by processing deliveries, breaking the load down and transferring product to the sales floor.

Assists customers during their shopping experience

• Greet, Offer, & Thank all customers
• Bring customers to the location of product
• Assist with product substitutions
• Perform price checks

Functional Requirement:

• Physical: walking, bending, kneeling, able to reach, lift, stack and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weighing up to 50 lbs., equipment operation (intercom, telephone, scanner, register, scale)
• Mental: judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, & math

Maintaining a neat and organized store appearance

• Facing forward product in the aisles and displays
• Ensures aisles are clear of debris at all times
• Cleaning shelves and racking as needed
• Compacts cardboard, stacks pallets, stores and organizes overstock

Maintaining proper inventory levels on the sales floor

• Process warehouse deliveries
• Break down load onto stock carts and transferring product to sales floor
• Ensures correct placement of product
• Rotates product following Hornbacher's policy
• Handles product carefully to avoid damage
• Builds product displays

Qualifications

Attention to detail

• Checking product for the highest quality
• Properly sorts product by aisle on carts for efficient stocking
• Restocks and faces throughout the day

Communication skills

• Ability to Greet, Offer, & Thank all customers
• Ability to receive feedback and implement processes for improvement
• Ability to follow directions from the Supervisor

Time management skills

• Ability to complete assigned tasks without direct supervision in a timely manner
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on customer and business needs

*Must be able to work a variety of shifts; including overnight, weekends, & holidays.
