Job Purpose

To receive, ship, stage parts and materials for all stages of production; completing necessary paperwork and data entry and maintain all inventory records.

Common Tasks and Responsibilities


• Works safely, following all procedures and utilizes proper safety equipment 
• Responsible for tools and equipment in his/her work area 
• Maintains a clean and organized work area 
• Enters data accurately 
• Follows applicable Northern Metal Fab Standard Operating Procedures 
• Performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisor

Physical Demands

• Lift/Carry up to 70-100#. 1-10# constantly; 21-50# frequently; & 50-100# occasionally. 
• In an 8 hour shift an employee can be expected to stand approximately 6 hours, walk approximately 1 hour and occasionally sit 1 hour. 
• Occasionally climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. 
• Frequently stooping and push/pull. 
• Constantly reaching, handling and feeling.

Typical Qualifications

• Strong computer skills
• Very Strong fork lift skills and experience
• Ability to read, write and comprehend moderately complex correspondence,
and communicate with co-workers.
• Ability to work with customer and vendor representatives.
