Department: 13401 Surgery
Job Description: This position works in collaboration with the surgeon(s) and health care team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Exercises high-level critical thinking and patient care planning based on extensive body of scientific knowledge related to peri-operative nursing and his/her area of practice. Extensive understanding of the principles and application of safe practice is required. Coordinates the treatment through all phases of initial care to rehabilitation ensuring quality patient care is delivered through a managed care approach. Practice is in collaboration with and at the discretion of the surgeon and approved protocol during preoperative, intraoperative, post-operative and post discharge phases of the patient experience.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 2 years operating room experience.
Education Qualifications:
Licensure/CertificationQualifications: Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month
Must be able to obtain RN First Assist Certification within 2 years of hire if not currently certified.
BSN or BAN or AD/Diploma if currently certified RNFA.
FTE: 1
Shift Rotation: Day Rotation (United States of America)
Shift Start Time: 6:30am
Shift End Time: 3:00
Weekends: call
