JOB SUMMARY
Provide leadership and work direction in the daily completion of duties associated with the warehouse management and planning, coordination of receiving, stocking, order filling, shipping, transporting and delivery of materials and supplies and/or moving and installation of equipment for the entire health system. Supervise day-to-day operations, including the warehouse and production work, and be the point of contact for customers. When working in the warehouse: must meet existing flows and staging times based on volumes per day. Work with distribution team to fulfill orders, and take calls from units. Take ownership of performance appraisals. Supervise staff conformance with policies and procedures, and may be responsible for the scheduling of staff. Depending on location, may be on site continually, may be required to use Electronic Procurement Information Center (EPIC) for supply requests and may be required to pick cases for surgery. Handle all customer billing, serve at the point of contact for customer issue resolution. Coordinate Periodic Automatic Replenishment (PAR) locations equipment needs and any rental or centrally owned equipment. Verify that the staff meets job competencies, to include task reassignment as necessary, and implement disciplinary action and escalate to manager as needed. Assist the manager in the hiring process, support training and mentoring and manage (Paid Time Off) PTO requests.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Sets attainable but challenging goals for the team members. Organizes potential problem solvers and leads problem resolution efforts. Develops clear, thorough schedules that deal with a variety of situations. Assists others in planning, conducting and evaluating a group facilitation process. Uses menus, toolbars, buttons and other basic GUI (graphic user interface) applications. Provides the team with necessary resources as well as the emotional and technical support needed to produce quality work. Praises team members for their well done work and their efforts to achieve objectives. Obtains and shares information with appropriate stakeholders in other areas. Purchase new or additional stock, or prepare documents that provide for such purchases. Interprets business plans or solutions to top management to gain both collective intelligence and support. Participates in developing and monitoring a budget for a specific work group or department. Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued. Ensures identification of customer needs and priorities.
DEPARTMENT DETAILS
The hours for this position are 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Some additional hours may be needed based on meeting and staffing coverage.
QUALIFICATIONS
Driver's license required as appropriate to positon. Depending on location, may receive on-the-job forklift training or other training as required. High school diploma or equivalency, with at least two years related experience in an operations setting required. Experience in a large organization preferred. Must possess a working knowledge of inventory systems.
