Job Description
An Electrical Designer is responsible for completing the following duties:
- Coordinate layout and design of electrical systems
- Perform research and selection of electrical components
- Create electrical drawings and schematics
- Complete bills of material for electrical systems
- Programming of PLC’s
- Evaluate and implement electrical design changes
- Testing and troubleshooting on PLC programs and electrical systems
- Provide service support in machine electrical controls and troubleshooting for Superior customers both in field and telephone
- Provide sales and manufacturing support for electrical systems
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2 year technical education and/or applicable experience in Electronics
- Thorough understanding of:
- Electrical relationships such as voltage, current, power, and AC/DC
- Electronic circuitry and electrical schematics
- Machine programming practices
- PLC programming and ladder logic (Allen Bradley)
- Variable frequency drives
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
