Job Description
An Electrical Designer is responsible for completing the following duties:

  • Coordinate layout and design of electrical systems
  • Perform research and selection of electrical components
  • Create electrical drawings and schematics
  • Complete bills of material for electrical systems
  • Programming of PLC’s
  • Evaluate and implement electrical design changes
  • Testing and troubleshooting on PLC programs and electrical systems
  • Provide service support in machine electrical controls and troubleshooting for Superior customers both in field and telephone
  • Provide sales and manufacturing support for electrical systems
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2 year technical education and/or applicable experience in Electronics
  • Thorough understanding of:
    • Electrical relationships such as voltage, current, power, and AC/DC
    • Electronic circuitry and electrical schematics
    • Machine programming practices
    • PLC programming and ladder logic (Allen Bradley)
    • Variable frequency drives
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
