Job Details

The Greeter greets all patients and guests in a friendly, courteous manner. The Greeter provides assistance to our patients and guests entering or exiting the facility by providing directions and/or way finding and assistance with opening doors, providing wheelchairs or other assistance as necessary. This position is responsible for monitoring the driveways and entrances so they are clean, clear and free of debris. The position also provides valet and/or shuttle services for patients and guests as needed.

Essential Job Functions

Title and Description

Greeter - Greets

Greets all patients and guests in a friendly, courteous manner.

Greeter - Assists Patients

Assists patients and guests entering or exiting the facility.

Greeter - Monitors Entrance

Monitors entrance so that access remains unhindered, allowing for a reasonable time for loading and unloading.

Greeter - Escorts

Provides valet and shuttle services as needed. Provides concierge service including lodging, meals, and transportation options for families and visitors.

Greeter - Directions

Provides directions to patients and guests regarding desired destination within the facility.

Greeter - Clean Lobby

Keeps lobby and foyer areas clear of wheelchairs and debris so that a clean and safe area is maintained.

Greeter - Transportation

Provides patient transportation between Altru facilities for inpatients transferring between locations for services, as needed.

Greeter - Wheelchair

Demonstrates knowledge of all features of wheelchairs and safe usage.

Other Duties

Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

  • Maintains requirements for age specific competencies for the position and demonstrates the knowledge or principles of growth and developments and the skills necessary to provide patient/customer care/services.

    • All pertinent safety, health and environmental policies, procedures and guidelines.
    • Working safely, without causing harm or risk to self, others or property.
    • The work environment safety procedures and prompt reporting of unsafe practices, procedures, accidents, injuries or other safety violations to the Leader.
    • The use of all safety equipment and personal protective equipment.
