Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the program coordinator for all waterjet activities and will interface with all Cirrus teams.
  • Ensure Production and Product Development demands are met or exceeded by optimizing programs and work flow.
  • Machine programming, operating, and fixturing primarily for 3-axis parts with planned expansion into 5-axis.
  • Responsible for monitoring machine operation, loading and unloading raw materials and fixturing, and performing machine maintenance.
  • Perform secondary operations including hole resizing, part deburring, and inventory management during machine operation.
  • Understand and efficiently use relevant Cirrus process specifications, design information, and planning documents.
  • Program machine using WARDcam and IGEMS waterjet software.
  • Optimize the waterjet process through reduction of discrepant parts and scraps while expanding upon the use of the machine.

Demonstrated Proficiencies / Skills / Abilities:
  • CNC: Posses knowledge of CNC setup and operation best practices.
  • Change Management: This is an ever-evolving role, the candidate will need to embrace changes including learning new skills and optimizing workflow.
  • Physical ability: This job requires climbing, bending over, kneeling and a good sense of balance and routinely lifting 55+ lbs.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable using hand tools, fixtures, rigging and inspection tools.
  • Thoroughness: Accuracy and attention to detail are required traits.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills are needed when working with the departments, customers, and support personnel
  • Computer skills: Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Equipment Steward: Identifies problems and raises concerns in a timely manner and follows all established maintenance plans.

Educational and Industry Experience:

5-7 years of combined education and direct industry experience with an emphasis in high volume manufacturing. Candidates with a technical diploma or degree in Machine Technology, Robotics, or similar mechanical fields are ideal. Extensive experience with CNC programming, composite part fabrication, low cost tooling design, lean manufacturing, and CAM software are required.
