Direct Professional Leader (DPL)

Our Direct Professional Leaders (DPL) play an integral role in the success of Development Homes and the people we support. Below are some of the responsibilities of the DPL position.
• Support people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to obtain their personal goals.
• Work to establish a positive and respectful relationship with each person supported and assist and/or support them in their day-to-day routines within their home and community.
• Inspire, motivate and ensure that the Direct Support Professionals (DSP) perform their duties and responsibilities through positive coaching, teamwork, professional leadership and supervision daily as directed by the Residential Manager.
• Seeks increased responsibilities and asks for and offers help when needed.
Other duties may include Food Services, Community Services, and Transportation Services, site scheduling and supports the Residential Manager as requested

Scheduling:
Most DPL's can expect to work every other weekend as well as a combination of split shifts. Most DPL's also provide support for appointment's and some additional on-call responsibilities. DPL's must be fairly flexible when it comes to scheduling.

Salary:
$14.18/hr plus training incentives.
$1 differential for weekend shifts

Requirements:
Successful completion of high school diploma or GED.
1 year experience Certified Nursing Assistant’s (CNA), Personal Care Assistants (PCA), Home Health Aid’s (HHA), or DSP required.
1 year of experience working in a supervisory capacity.
DD Certificate preferred.
Must pass pre-screening requirements, background check & driving record check
Current and valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance.
