POSITION SCOPE

The Welding Maintenance Foreman supervises a crew to perform all necessary duties in the manufacture and maintenance of equipment and crusher repairs. Individual will assist with scheduling work, checking accuracy, and quality control for all phases of fabrication and/or repair. The position will work closely with other team members.

PRIMARY DUTIES
  • Supervise multiple employees as well as training employees and appraising performance
  • Plan, assign, direct and prioritize workload.
  • Perform major and minor repairs on equipment
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance on equipment and crushers
  • Maintain parts inventory
  • Read, understand, and follow blueprints, plans, material lists, and guidelines
  • Conducts and participates in regular safety meetings
  • Fulfills all regular and advanced fabrication/maintenance duties, including project layout, and completes all required documentation in a timely manner
  • Organizes, supervises, leads, and trains employees to complete projects within established guidelines and time frames
  • Enforces all company safety policies and procedures
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures, including crew member discipline and documentation.
  • Responsible for addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs performed on equipment
  • Determine equipment condition by conducting inspection and diagnostic test to identify worn and damaged parts
  • Complete preventive maintenance schedules to keep equipment available for use
  • Verify equipment performance by operating equipment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to work from knees and back
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

BACKGROUND
  • Full Time
  • Minimum Travel Required
  • High School Diploma/GED Preferred
  • 3-5 years of Supervising in a shop setting is preferred
