Paving Superintendent

POSITION SUMMARY

The Paving Superintendent’s job function is to lead the Micro Surfacing business from estimating to project management to crew member supervision.  This position will ensure policies and procedures are followed, work and safety standards are maintained and schedules are met including coordinating delivery of materials, reviewing and monitoring compliance requirements, and providing leadership for the maintenance of equipment.  This position will maintain a high regard for safety for all employees and the general public, lead the crew in producing high quality projects, and lead employee training and development. 

Work sites are located throughout the upper Midwest.  Average work days can last up to 14 hours, require overtime and working weekends. You must be willing to travel.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Foreman / Superintendent experience in the construction industry
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, engineers, and coworkers
• Ability to organize, plan, schedule, prioritize, direct, and monitor crews
• Experience in managing projects at the field level
• Must have a valid driver’s license (A CDL is preferred)
• Physically able to perform the job functions
• Willingness to be a team player and help train less experienced employees
