JOB SUMMARY

Develop, coordinate and process contracts ensuring legal, policy and procedural compliance. Strategize and develop contract budgets, coordinate/collaborate with finance to determine cost center allocations. Perform financial duties related to reporting of contract funds. Accomplish the initial setup of contracts, and then work with departments on budgets. Develop, coordinate and process contracts and agreements including negotiating, writing and auditing. Analyze special contract conditions and budget impacts, and monitor compliance with rules, statutes, policies and procedures. Lead coordination efforts on amending contracts based upon changes in contract amount, service type or special conditions. Acquire quotes and participate in the review and awarding of contractor proposals. Prepare contracts and other agreements between the department and other departments, including legal, government agencies or outside parties. Manage all correspondence with vendors during negotiations. Recommend and negotiate corrective action for contractor compliance deficiencies. Assist in reviewing department purchase order requests for correct procedures and budget criteria. Work with departments or divisions to ensure the adherence to purchasing guidelines and budget criteria. Develop and report cost savings to department. Must adhere to federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to contracting and procurement of equipment, supplies and services. Work closely with the grants and legal teams for federal grant requirements. Develop and submit Request for Proposals (RFPs) and use supply chain tools to perform benchmarking and financial analysis.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyzes the varying approaches to expense and budget management. Reviews a proposal or presentation for ethical, technical and legal accuracy. Ensures proper protection of organization's confidential information. Analyzes the varying approaches to expense and budget management. Analyzes opportunities and challenges of integrating current and new clinical applications. Successfully completes significant negotiations, both internal and external. Evaluates differing expense management alternatives and makes recommendations. Communicates well downward, upward, and outward. Successfully completes significant negotiations, both internal and external. Assists in developing contract compliance reports for external auditors. Develops and uses checklists to insure that information goes out error-free. Adheres to compliance requirements in a specific area of healthcare practices.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

The hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in a related field required. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of five years experience in supply chain, contract preparation and/or administration required. Supply Chain certification desired.
