Job Title: Marketing Manager Department: Sales and Marketing Reports to: Vice President of Sales and Marketing FLSA Status: Exempt Position Objective:

• Through the practice of servant leadership, enhance people's lives; safely deliver quality, best value products and services, on time, to internal and external customers.

• Proactively keep our growing company busy and profitable, identifying and nurturing leads for our sales team to execute.


Primary Responsibilities:


• Develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives in conjunction with the sales and marketing team

• Oversee and evaluate market research and adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions

• Monitor competitor products, sales and marketing activities
• Lead sales office management and reporting of sales/marketing metrics

• Champion lead generation, fostering new and existing customer relationships
• Optimize Aagard's marketing budget and return on investment

• Champion customer marketing communications
• Establish and maintain a consistent corporate brand
• Design, maintain, and initiate quality improvements to Aagard website

• Coordinate industry trade shows, representing Aagard to promote products and services and generate leads
• Recommend and implement best practices to increase productivity and reduce costs

• Communicate openly, share knowledge, build positive collaboration between departments
• Be actively engaged in continuous improvement projects and culture


General Responsibilities:


• Adhere to, support and promote the Aagard vision and culture statements

• Demonstrate professional, respectful interaction with other team members
• Accurately and professionally represent Aagard to customers and vendors

• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:


• Associate's/Bachelor's degree in a Marketing related field plus 5 years marketing management experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

• Experience working in the packaging equipment industry
• Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques

• Experience in marketing and service system development and deployment
• Experience in strategic planning, marketing, business market development, market research and planning

• Ability to create, compose and edit written materials
• Ability to communicate with internal and external customers verbally and in writing, including presentation skills

• Ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion
• Ability to create and manipulate excel spreadsheets

• Experience with Microsoft products including proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience or training with computers and ability to learn and use Aagard specific software
• Proficient keyboarding skills

• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to take action and be proactive

• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Conscientious of meeting and exceeding the customers needs
