Position Overview
Apply practical knowledge of state-of-the-art electronic devices while assisting customers with electronic products or software selection. This consists of answering technical questions via multiple medias (phone calls, webchats, online content, and emails), or more that requires general technical competence.

Responsibilities
Must be able to...

• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, Internet, and web chat
• Process orders submitted via fax, email, 3rd party websites, and Internet
• Direct customer inquiries to appropriate department or person
• Complete Internet Registration requests.
• Other projects, initiatives and duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Minimum Essential Qualifications:

• Applicants must be incoming Northland Community and Technical College (NCTC) students for the fall of 2018, and 18 years of age or older.
• Applicants must plan to pursue (continue) a two-year Electronics Technology-Automated Systems degree.
• Recipients must maintain a 2.75 grade point average (GPA) per semester to be eligible for partial (50% per academic year) tuition reimbursement.
• Recipients must commit to work part-time hours at Digi-Key while enrolled in school, maintain satisfactory performance and follow all pertinent company policies.

Scholarship Requirements:

• Application must be completed by the applicant. Please type or print clearly.
• Retain a copy of the completed application for your records.
• Attach a copy of your Accuplacer test scores from Northland Community and Technical College (NCTC).
• Attach a copy of your most recent high school transcript, college transcript, or home-school assessment scores.
• Upon Digi-Key's receipt of your application, you may be contacted to come to Digi-Key's facility for pre-employment testing (approximately two (2) hours of time to complete job specific tests).
• Essay - Please type or print clearly.
  • On a separate page, in one document, please respond to all of the following items in a total of fewer than 500 words. Remember to include your name on the separate page. Please attach your responses to this application form.
    • Describe any community-based service or activities that you've been involved with in the past (neighborhood, community, clubs, organizations, employers, and others).
    • Describe your long-range educational and career goals.
    • Explain why this scholarship may help you meet your educational goals.
• Letter of Recommendation (i.e. advisor, counselor, employer, etc.)

Scholarship Features:

• Opportunity to earn an income during college.
• Post-degree eligibility for a full-time position at Digi-Key.
• Partial tuition reimbursement pending fulfillment of scholarship program requirements.
