Oversee the Internship and Experiential Education opportunities for Concordia students by collaborating with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
• Outreach, Enhancement and Growth 85%
o Oversee Internship program (both for credit and not for credit) by providing comprehensive services and support in collaboration with key campus and community partners
o Cultivate and grow the program’s employer base, internships from alumni, and other appropriate internships through site visits, professional organizations, and meetings
o Proactively collaborate with faculty and academic departments to identify, develop and promote opportunities and relationships with employers who support the academic mission of Concordia via internship and experiential learning experiences
o Advise students on clarifying career goals and employable skills, and how they link to internship opportunities
o Develop and lead programs, presentations, and workshops on internship related topics
o Develop processes to ensure accurate feedback and quality control management of databases by establishing key metrics to measure Learning Outcomes
o In conjunction with the Office of the Registrar, create and maintain an electronic form of registration to facilitate accurate and complete academic internship registration including learning agreements for academic credit
o Innovate and implement the maintenance of the Pre-Med and Pre-Dental intern/externship
• Communication 15%
o Prepare, enhance and maintain digital resources for students, faculty, and employers; identify and make recommendations to maintain effective website content to ensure just in time resources for students
o Creatively seek ways to implement the marketing of the internship program for students, employers, and alumni
o Maintain internship portion of Handshake to assure highly accurate information


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships and work effectively with a broad range of internal and external constituents including students, employers, alumni, faculty, and staff
• Ability to creatively promote the intern program to students (prospective and existing), faculty, alumni, and employers
• Ability to concisely articulate thoughts by communicating both in writing and orally to a variety of audiences
• Demonstrated initiative and follow through to make innovative programmatic recommendations
• Ability to make decisions and take swift action to execute
• High level of resourcefulness, influence, and organizational savvy to make independent decisions and take swift action to execute
• Demonstrated competency to assess, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail
• Wide-ranging knowledge and understanding of career development trends
• Ability to learn and utilize database management, and career services-related software
