Job Details
Responsibilities include:
- Monitor and organize distribution center during distribution of newspaper to independent contractors (carriers).
- Counting & distributing bundles of newspapers to independent contractors in a warehouse setting.
- Assure all routes are distributed daily through regular carriers, substitute carriers or distribute as needed.
- Communicate information with District Managers, Carriers, and Customer Service Department.
- Complete daily reports.
- General maintenance duties of the distribution center and other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- General computer knowledge preferred - will train.
- Must be able to work early morning hours and rotate weekends.
- Must be able to lift 30 lb newspaper bundles.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a driving record that is insurable by the company.
- Must carry an acceptable level of vehicle insurance as required by the company.
- Must have the ability to become certified by the Department of Transportation.
