Job Details
The Behavior Health Services Program Coordinator will perform supervised tasks related to the delivery of comprehensive Person-Centered Service Plans (PCSPs) that include health, medication and personal cares, therapeutic, vocational and/or recreational activities for the individuals being served by Anne Carlsen Center in community-based services (Day Support, In-Home Support, and/or Behavioral Health Services). This position will carry specific responsibility in scheduling and direct supervision, guidance, training, coaching, and mentoring to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and Behavioral Technicians implementing PCSPs and ABA care plans , solving issues and needs of the individuals as well as staff.

This position will meet the following minimum requirements:
- Must complete mandated reporter training through the state of ND and have a bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, child development and family science, communication disorders, special education, sociology, elementary education, or equivalent
- Two years of experience working with children with autism or related conditions
- Five years’ experience working with children with conditions on the autism spectrum or related conditions and/or other families. And a certification or other national or state designation of expertise in Autism would also be considered.
Preferred/Required Skills and Abilities:
- Exceptional listening skills and intrapersonal skills, and the ability to gather information from clients regarding services needed; must demonstrate the ability to look at a current program and/or home, school, or work situations and synthesize formal and informal information into a workable program plan and develop the contacts and knowledge to coordinate resources into a billable service plan
- Working knowledge of rights of families receiving services, and a good understanding of State and Federal laws and programs relating to people with disabilities
- Effective skills in problem solving, the team planning process, negotiating, effective communication, time management, staff supervision and the ability to make independent decisions
- Effective skills in organization, supervision, management, leadership, and communication skills - both oral and written
- Ability to manage a caseload commensurate to their FTE status
- Ability to support, interpret, implement, and communicate ACC, State, and Federal policies, procedures, laws, rules and regulations for the department
