Job Summary
The Team Leader of Reimbursement is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department. This position leads staff in updating various fee schedules, serves as a liaison between other departments in the organization, and works with the department leader to develop and implement strategic initiatives, goals, and the department’s annual workplan.

Experience Requirements
Required: Minimum of 6 Years
Preferred: Minimum of 6 Years
Experience Details: Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in healthcare finance, and 2 years of leadership experience is required.
Equivalent combination of education, experience or training determined to be acceptable by Human Resources may be substituted, unless regulated by contract or program standards

The Team Leader of Reimbursement is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department. This position leads staff in updating various fee schedules, serves as a liaison between other departments in the organization, and works with the department leader to develop and implement strategic initiatives, goals, and the department’s annual workplan.
Essential Functions
- Directly supervises and guides staff in accomplishing work objectives within the unit. Coaches, motivates, and recognizes subordinates. Sets clear goals and objectives and performance expectations, and holds employees accountable for achieving results.
- Assists in the development of payment and reimbursement strategies that support strategic goals of the department.
- Reviews department work to ensure appropriate guidelines are followed, training is provided, and monitors workload inventory to ensure timely completion.
- Prepares operational reviews related to discount percentages, payment information and other relevant data for senior leadership and other divisional leaders.
- Communicates complicated matters in a simple, structured way to internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitors trends in the reimbursement industry and provides timely information to assist the leadership team in the development of strategic corporate goals.
- Researches reimbursement standards and regulations and develops/updates policies and procedures as needed.
- Leads and oversees special projects within the department.
