Job Details
The Business Development Associate will focus on developing new business opportunities related to activity within China. The Business Development Associate will interact with internal and external partners to identify, assess, select and prioritize opportunities for new business. Additionally, the Business Development Associate will distill a broad pool of business concepts into quantified, funded, executable action plans and lead initial phases of new business execution.
The successful candidate will have technical expertise, a strategic perspective on product, service and partnership development, the ability to negotiate both externally and internally to close a contract, the independence to run a deal, and bring simplicity to complex issues. Must be adept with contractual, technical, and financial issues and have the ability effectively communicate with cross functional teams at all levels.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Identify, quantify and prioritize new business opportunities.
- Develop business case, execution and resource plans, funding mechanisms, and lead transition through project execution
- Manage cross-functional teams to solve complex operational, financial, and regulatory issues
- Negotiate complex contractual arrangements
- Domestic and foreign travel will fluctuate and may be as much as 50%
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience, Bachelor's degree in business, finance or similar field. MBA/JD preferred.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin.
- Strong China business development, program management, establishing/managing joint ventures, financial analysis, operational planning, project execution, and contract negotiation capability
- Aviation industry experience preferred.
