Job Details
- Determine the most efficient sequence of operations and work flow and establishes methods for maximum utilization of personnel.
- Analyzes space requirements and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Creates technical documents including work instructions and other training aids.
- Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction and inventory management through the application of lean principles.
- Assist in analyzing workload planning and forecasting.
- Help track and compare performance within the program.
- Take notes during meetings, provide input for follow up meetings, and assist with weekly department updates and other group efforts as requested.
Intern Requirements and Qualifications:
- Strong organizationally with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Works equally well independently or in a cross functional team environment.
- Efficient at continuous product improvement, problem solving, and design of experiment efforts.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, etc.).
- Experience with Creo and MES software preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age and be pursuing a bachelor's degree in an engineering related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 required.
- Aviation experience preferred but not required.
- This position requires 40 hours per week between May and August 2019.
