Nutrition Therapy Services Assistant

Thisis a 24 hour position thatassists in food preparation, to provide clean and sanitary dishware, utensils, pots and pans, and to clean and sanitize all assigned areas as scheduled. This position assumes the authority, responsibility and accountability to assist with the preparation of palatable, appetizing foods in accordance with the menu and therapeutic diets, and safety and sanitary regulations. They will assist in serving food, utilizing portion control, and serving meals in a timely manner. They will also set tables with appropriate diet modifications, condiments, and utensils; clears tables; removes waste materials in approved containers; and cleans dishes, eating and cooking utensils, and others articles as assigned. They keep assigned areas clean and sanitary, and receives and stores food in proper areas. This position receives close supervision from the Dietary Manager and/or Cook.

This position will meet the following minimum requirements:

• 3 months or more of experience in food preparation.
  
• Must be able to read, understand and follow recipes, written and oral instructions and have good visual perception.
  
• This position works within the guidelines of ACC policies/procedures, State and Federal Laws, Rules, and Regulations.
