Role & Responsibility

Sourcing:
  • He/she is responsible for scouting for new dealers following the regional network strategy plan & is in charge of presenting the new dealer candidates to the Dealer Review Board. He/she will make the recommendation of best qualified candidate.

KPI:
  • Coverage of identified market territories.

Networking:
  • Responsible for building relationships with competitive dealers and entrepreneurs locally and maintaining detailed information of the local distribution competitive landscape

KPI:
  • Availability of candidate list with clear partner priority per blank market territory

Dealer Startup:
  • Upon appointment of a new dealer, the Network Development Manager will be in charge of training and coordinating all activities related to new dealers’ startup.
  • Startup activities of the dealer will include (but not limited to):
  • Technical training (planning & follow up on execution)
  • Basic Product Training (planning & delivery of the training)
  • System training & administration (planning & follow up on execution)
  • First order submission
  • Policy review and explanation
  • Facility branding (action plan definition & execution follow up)
  • Capability review and action plan definition Y1 (Dealer Aftermarket Review planning & follow up)
  • Marketing plan definition Y1

KPI:
  • Completion of the Dealer Startup planning and deliverables

Succession planning and termination:
  • Closely monitor each dealer principal’s willingness/capability to maintain dealership
  • Based on own data, DM input and the information from Network Development Manager, advise dealers on succession planning

KPI:
  • Effectiveness of succession planning support

Execution of TMU management:
  • Support to DM in TMU management process execution could be identified as (but not limited to)
  • TMU/dealer prioritization
  • Target setting
  • Dealer communication & Action planning
  • Implementation of action plans
  • Review coverage status and make timely management decision

KPI:
  • M/S and volume growth
  • Effectiveness of TMU management exec
  • Yearly MP settingution

Management reporting :
  • Deliver regular review status reports to track progress and update on an ongoing base the knowledge database (scouting reports)

KPI:
  • Monthly progress report out

Regional Network Strategy:
  • He/she will build a business plan with the Regional team in order to setup the best possible dealer network coverage. These plans can consist of: territory extension, new dealer appointment, channel segmentation (Agriculture, Construction...), merger and acquisition, succession planning.

  • Availability of Regional Network Strategy

Job Requirement

Education & Qualification:

Commercial - Masters Degree / Allow Equivalent

Knowledge& Skill:
  • Has a good/deep understanding of a dealers business model, key financial indicators and market dynamics.
  • Able to analyze Annual Business Results and Operating Plans of dealer candidates and operational dealers
  • Understanding in financial statement analysis and interpretation is a must
  • Enthusiastic about implementing change and challenging status quo.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and can do attitude.
  • Enjoys working cross-departmentally (interconnected with Regional team, Dealer Development team, finance team and other supporting functions)
  • English language is a must, French should be an asset

Experience: 5>7 years

Travel Standard: > 50%

Experience Description:
  • Deep experience of dealer network management and construction equipment
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years business experience required, preferably in territory development

•Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
•These are entry level opportunities
•Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly. Must have the ability to work rapidly and under time pressure for extended periods of time in order to meet build requirements. Must possess the ability to read build sheets and blueprints.
•The ability to communicate with supervisors and fellow workers in both written and verbal forms at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED is required.
•Job specific skills, techniques and safe work and equipment operating practices are learned through on-the-job and classroom training. General instructions are given on recurring duties, operations and assignments; detailed instructions are given on new duties, operations and assignments.
