JOB SUMMARY

Order, dispense, repair and adjust eye wear and contact lenses.
Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with the selection of eye wear. Must train to aquire or already competently command entry level optical and retail patient service skills necessary to order, dispense, and execute basic repairs and adjustments of eyeglasses and contact lenses.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Arrange and maintain displays of optical merchandise.;Maintain records of customer prescriptions work orders, and payments.;Prepare work orders and instructions for grinding lenses and fabricating eyeglasses.;Instruct clients in how to wear and care for eyeglasses.;Assemble eyeglasses by cutting and edging lenses, and fitting the lenses into frames.;Assist clients in selecting frames according to style and color, and ensure that frames are coordinated with facial and eye measurements and optical prescriptions.;Measure clients' bridge and eye size, temple length, vertex distance, pupillary distance, and optical centers of eyes, using measuring devices.;

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

Schedule includes Monday in Baudette, Tuesday-Friday in International Falls. On-the-job training provided. Looking for an individual with excellent customer service skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school graduate is preferred.
Must have excellent interpersonal/human relations and sales skills. Knowledge of contact lens procedures and care, current brands and solutions and knowledge of eye wear fitting, styles, and materials is preferred. Previous experience in optical or contact lens field is preferred. Will provide training and education of required skills.
Basic Life Support Certification.
