Job Summary

Performs Human Resources related duties primarily supporting talent acquisition initiatives. Supports the hiring process from job posting to onboarding new employees and beyond. Builds strong working relationships with internal hiring managers and candidates. Responsible for hiring for direct production and indirect production positions. Serves as the initial point of contact for general questions relating to recruitment and open positions. Keeps recruitment metrics. Maintains good communication and positive relationships with employees to promote employee satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
  • Prepares job descriptions and edits job descriptions as necessary. Utilizes applicant tracking system to maintain internal job postings and website postings
  • Initiates contact with qualified candidates for specific job openings.
  • Reviews applications and pre-screens applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position.
  • Arranges candidate telephone and onsite interviews, per the hiring manager's request. Arranges travel and lodging for applicants, as necessary.
  • Attends recruitment events (job fairs, presentations at schools) promoting job opportunities
  • Performs reference and background checks on applicants.
  • Plans and conducts orientation for new employees, fostering positive attitude toward Company.
  • Maintains metrics data on recruitment activities, applicant flow, interviews, hires, transfers, terminations, and days to fill on a daily/weekly/monthly/annual basis.
  • Monitors pre-employment drug test process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent field preferred.
  • Minimum of one to two years' experience in Human Resources.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively work with others and maintain professional demeanor.
  • Exceptional Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook).
  • PHR (Professional in Human Resources) helpful, however, not required.
  • Travel to career fairs and recruitment events required
