The Coteau Properties Company, Freedom Mine, is seeking candidates for the following position:
FULL-TIME DIESEL MECHANIC(S)
The Freedom Mine is the largest lignite, surface coal mine in the United States with large electric draglines, loading shovels and coal preparation facilities located ten miles north of Beulah, North Dakota and only minutes from Lake Sakakawea. Heavy equipment used in the Freedom Mines operation includes large bottom dump coal hauling trucks, large end dump trucks, large front end loaders, large back hoes, bull dozers, tractor scrapers, motor graders and more.
Qualified mechanic applicants must be qualifi ed to perform all aspects of mechanical repairs to mining equipment to include knowledge of engines, cooling systems, undercarriage, electrical systems, hydraulic components, drivetrains, brake and air conditioning systems. The successful candidate must have good communications and interpersonal skills and be team oriented. Heavy equipment maintenance experience required and a diesel mechanic associates degree preferred.
The starting wage for this position is $41.40 per hour. We offer a great benefits package for full-time regular hires to include 401K savings plan with employer match and retirement contribution, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and other incentives. Benefits are offered on the first day of employment.
