Job Details

  • Job Summary: Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and facility electrical equipment and systems.

Applicant must be proficient in:
  • Planning, Layouts, Supervising the installation wiring projects for equipment, lighting, heating, control power and general plant progression.
  • Maintaining & repairing electrical systems, controls & machines.
  • Understand electrical blueprints & machine schematics for repairs.
  • Trouble shooting electrical circuits to include basic industrial and building controls.
  • Project management from initiation to completion


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Plan, layout, install and repair a wide variety of complex electrical equipment including automatic machine and process controls, control centers and panels, relays, circuit breakers, electronic controls and other equipment.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, detect and replace defective control modules, test and make proper adjustments to keep production functioning.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, HVAC's and plant electrical systems.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and materials handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Must be capable of wiring new offices, equipment control panels, lighting control circuits.
  • Detect faulty operations or defective materials and repair them. If unable to complete report these and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
  • Customer Service-Responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service, responds to requests for service and assistance.

  • Responsibility & Accountability-Assumes ownership and suggests appropriate recommendations to achieve company goals. Committed to ensuring planes are designed and produced safely; immediately report any errors or mistakes to appropriate personnel.
  • Dependability/Initiative-Follows instructions, offers ideas, and follows through on commitments; volunteers readily and offers to help and assist when work is complete.
  • Attendance/Overtime-Punctual; observes appropriate break and meal periods; properly notifies Supervisor within designated timeframe in case of absence. Overtime hours may be required
  • Safety & Security-Observes safety and security procedures.

Education and/or Experience:

List any licenses, certificates, and registrations that are required to perform the essential duties of this job.
  • Minnesota Class A Journeyman license
  • Must have served in a credentialed apprenticeship
  • Valid Driver's License
  • High skill level of electrical and control trouble shooting


Job Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities:

High level of computer skills preferred but must have abilities necessary to perform job functions on facility computer system and programs
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent team player
  • Considerable judgment required to plan and perform unusual and difficult work where only general methods are available.
  • Able to make decisions involving considerable initiative and ingenuity.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints of building and electrical layouts
  • Prefer applicant with the will and ability to pursue Master Electricians license in the future for advancement within Cirrus Aircraft
