Manager, DevOps & System Administration

As a key member of the product development leadership team, you will lead the development and technical strategy for our DevOps infrastructure, processes and organization.

You and your team will serve as a liaison between the agile development teams, product management, and external cloud providers.

We expect you to be an accomplished engineer, have strong hands on technical experience and deep knowledge in one or more areas of distributed systems and enterprise web delivery platforms including cloud based systems - ideally AWS.

You will make a mark on the business, your team and your career by leading a cloud migration effort and evolving our open source systems to scale and deliver from the cloud.

Position Requirements

Leadership

• Excellent problem-solving\troubleshooting skills and operational management
• Strong focus on continuous improvement - “never stop never stopping”
• You are not afraid to share the flaws and how you will improve them
• A proven track record in leading architecture, design, development and operations of enterprise scale web delivery platforms, products and services in a high performance and high-availability SaaS environment
• Ability to create a fun, fast paced, motivating and rewarding environment for your team and the organization
• Strong people management skills: attracting, retaining, inspiring and growing individuals; demonstrate a passion for people development and mobility

Technologies

• AWS (or Google Cloud)
• IaC (Infrastructure as Code)
• Configuration management tools such as: Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
• Unix and Linux operating systems
• SQL databases
• automation/scripting
• monitoring and logging tools
• IP networking, VPN's, DNS, load
