Primary Focus

This position is responsible for performing production assembly work in a safe and efficient manner, following all applicable factory safety guidelines and procedures. This position will assemble small components, wire control boards, complete finished assemblies and insure the work meets the factory performance specifications. Finally the work area will be maintained in a clean, safe and orderly manner at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties and responsibilities can occur on a daily basis:

Safety

  • Assure that work practices are in the guidelines of OSHA standards
  • CNC operators are required to wear safety glasses, hard toed shoes

Job Duties

  • Assemble and wire various electronic boards, including crimping and stripping wires
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings/work instructions to aid in the assembly of parts.
  • Measure and pour ingredients into containers 
  • Assemble various components into sub-assemblies
  • Place sub-assemblies on the final unit and attach per instructions
  • Perform inspection tasks to insure the sub-assembly or final unit pass inspection and are built to the highest quality standard possible malfunctions. 

Job Requirements

  • Good eye hand coordination required for the handling of nuts, bolts, washers etc.
  • Must be able to focus on the task at hand and pay attention to detail
  • Work in a deadline oriented environment, completing the weekly schedule on time
  • Work in a team environment to maximize productivity and efficiency
  • There will be occasions when the assembler will lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Maintain a constant visual inventory check to assure part availability 
  • Maintain all work areas in a clean organized and safe manner
  • Maintain tools and tooling provided by Foley

General

  • Advising your manager if you do not understand the work they have assigned to you, or if the assignment does not fit with your knowledge of the circumstances, current skills or available time and resources.
  • Advising your manager of any situations or obstacles that could keep you from accomplishing the work assigned to you.
  • Advising your manager of any situations or opportunities that could help you complete or improve the work assigned to you.
  • Demonstrating work behaviors consistent with the company values and work within prescribed boundaries, including company policies, standards, procedures and any legislative requirements.
  • Provide assistance with all other duties as requested.
