Job Details
We are looking for a highly motivated, conscientious individual who wants to be apart of the Eventide team and who has payroll, benefit and human resources experience.
The Payroll and Benefits Specialist collects and processes all payroll information necessary to ensure accurate recording and distribution of payroll checks. Ensures eligible employee are offered and enrolled in the Eventide Benefits that they elect.
Payroll
- Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
- Process payroll bi-weekly for hourly and salaried employees.
- Reconcile payroll prior to payment and confirm reports.
- Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits.
- Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance.
- Execute time and attendance processing and interface with payroll.
- Process accurate and timely quarterly and year-end reporting.
- Ensure that all tax deposits are made timely.
- Process manual checks as defined in Eventide's policy.
- Compile and submit payroll deductions related check requests and payments.
- Maintain current knowledge of IRS regulations.
- Provide support, assistance and information to employees and departments in all aspects that relate to payroll.
- Apply applicable payroll regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures.
- Prepare, generate, and maintain accurate payroll records and reports.
- Work closely with other finance staff to ensure that payroll data is correctly coded.
Benefits
- Process paperwork to ensure eligible employee are enrolled in benefits that they have elected.
- Compiles and calculates self-billing for employees benefits.
- Assist in resolving problems and inquiries with external benefit vendors.
- Prepare and generate required reports, for both payroll and benefit information that will facilitate the management purpose of controlling and managing the financial costs of benefits.
- Prepare reports and work with vendors on Worker's Compensation Audits
- Prepare reports, gather information and work with vendor on Pension Audits and compliance reports.
- Process invoices for payment for all vendors and insurance carriers related to benefits and retirement plans.
- Provide support, assistance and information to employees and departments in all aspects that relate to benefits.
