Automotive Counter Sales Associate

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and competency satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Promptly assist customers, take orders and provide excellent customer service.
• Conduct self in a professional and ethical manner at all times. Treat both external and internal customers with courtesy and respect.
• Data entry and retrieval on computer system, including entering of customer orders, inventory information and pricing.
• Follow-up on customer orders, resolve problems to the customer’s satisfaction, respond timely to customer.
• Answer telephones professionally and pleasantly, assisting customers, taking orders and providing excellent customer service.
• Continuously update product knowledge through any available resources.
• Effectively communicate to customers any relevant policies and/or procedures regarding purchases, returns, credit terms, etc.
• Check in and put items in proper locations
• Ensure isles and walkways are clear and free from clutter
• Assist in maintaining appearance of store as needed, straightening, cleaning counter area, warehouse, bathrooms, etc.
• Perform as backup to delivery driver as needed. Maintain appropriate licensing, credentials and acceptable driving record.
