Job Description: The Senior Director, Payer Strategy will be responsible for developing and implementing an organization-wide strategy for payer reimbursement, both private (e.g. health plans, employer sponsored), self-funded employers, and governmental (e.g. Medicare, Medicaid) that results on valued-based purchasing as well as a high margin for the organization. The Senior Director will also be responsible for developing and managing the overall payer strategy including network development for approval by the Senior Leadership team including a biannual review and alerting Senior Leadership to market changes that may impact the organization. This includes, but is not limited to, developing and implementing new payer reimbursement models such as TCOC, capitation, bundling, etc. based on accountability, value and working with private and government payers to establish mutually beneficial partnerships. The Senior Director will also be responsible for researching, developing and recommending new sources of revenue to support the organizational overall system contracting, payer/employer relations, contract compliance and contract administration. The position requires a high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with other departments and co-workers, patients and others.

Education Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in health administration, business administration, or finance.

Licensure/CertificationQualifications:
Experience Required: Five to seven years of related level experience from the health insurance industry or health care serving in the leading the payer contract negotiations on behalf of the organization.
