Job Details

The Support Technician is vital to the daily operation of the unit. This position is responsible for stocking and management of the physical area of the department.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Supports and models behaviors consistent with the mission, vision and values of Altru Health System.
  • Cleans and maintains all designated equipment according to standard operating procedures. Maintains orderliness of storage rooms and exam room.
  • Cleans and organizes environment for patients/customers/team members.
  • Restocks all patient/customer supply items in areas designated by following supply listings to insure continuous accuracy and organization, i.e., linen and alcoves, personal protective equipment in patient rooms, suction set ups, ambu bags, gait belts, infection carts, etc.
  • Performs assigned daily tasks according to the Support Technician Daily Operations Duties.
  • Performs personal cares upon request and according to standard operating procedures.
  • Provides patient care in accordance with established guidelines, i.e., transporting, escorting, discharging, etc.
  • Participates in measuring and monitoring Quality Indicators and outcome.
  • Monitors AED and eye wash stations in addition to equipment tracking.
  • Performs blood glucose monitoring upon request and records according to standard operating procedure.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Registration by the North Dakota State Department of Health as a Certified Nursing Assistant or Nurse Aide
    • Or for those who have never been registered as a NA or CNA, must obtain registration within the first four (4) months of hire.
Preferred:
  • Previous experience in a health care setting.
