JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Compensation Analyst is responsible for supporting the vision, strategy, and objectives of the Total Rewards Center of Excellence (COE).
They will support the implementation of Sanford's framework for base salary, incentives, and compensation programs including grade structures, salary ranges, and merit guidelines. Analyze and make recommendations as needed on new hire rates, re-organizations, specialized programs etc. Responsible for inputs into compensation program strategy, policy, design, and operations reflecting needs of employee population and regulatory environment. Assist in addressing complex inquiries escalated from the Employee Service Center (ESC). Led benchmarking and competitive intelligence activities. In partnership with Talent Management, develop practices and guidelines for competitive new hire offers. Ensure regulatory and audit compliance regarding compensation programs and policies. Provide technical input to compensation communications. Manage robust market analysis regarding compensation programs; analyze and report key findings to Compensation Leadership. Perform mergers and acquisitions analysis for due diligence to ensure compliance and integration of compensation programs. Support compensation leadership in providing guidance and mentoring other compensation staff. Assist with responding to internal and external audit requirements.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Plans, estimates, staffs, organizes and monitors significant projects. Approaches a complex problem by breaking it down into its component parts. Establishes and maintains effective working relationship with each team member. Mediates and resolves conflicts among individuals, groups, and departments. Learns new concepts, processes and tools applicable to the needs of the entire unit. Processes large quantities of detailed information with high levels of accuracy. Organizes potential problem solvers and leads problem resolution efforts. Reviews others' writing or presentations and provides feedback and coaching. Responds to shifting priorities while maintaining progress of regularly scheduled work. Successfully coaches both superstars and problem performers.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

This position can be located in Sioux Falls, Fargo, Bismarck or Bemidji.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline.
Three to five years experience in compensation, healthcare administration or other related fields.
