JOB SUMMARY

Collaboration with service leaders, plans, coordinates and implements assigned imaging projects related to digital imaging initiatives. Coordinates and facilitates communication with areas that interface with imaging service areas in relation to automated information. Oversees the daily maintenance and operations of the Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) equipment. Provide technical support and answer any questions to help resolve any issues with the program for clients in person, via telephone or electronically. Monitor or track project milestones, deliverables and implement new PACs environment for new facilities when needed. Submit project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Work on database cleanup, work list managements, modality integration within departments, PACs training for technologists and providers. May spend 70% of time at desk or onsite providing PACS support and 30% in project work and or training.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Utilizes available tools or approaches for increasing knowledge of self-motivation. Makes sound recommendations when faced with complex and contradictory alternatives. Works with large or multiple teams that span functions, issues, locations, and time zones. Helps promote collaboration across generations, functions, regions, and levels. Delivers written and oral communication, responds to questions and concerns, and produce specific outcomes and impact. Responds to day-to-day operational priorities while still making progress on project work. Contributes to the establishment and implementation of best practices for application design. Uses varying problem-solving approaches and techniques as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in a related healthcare or information systems discipline.
Minimum of two years of implementation experience with PACS (picture archiving and communication system) preferred.
Maintain any certification/licensure as required by profession. Prefer certification in radiology/cardiology disciplines/American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP) certification preferred. Depending upon location and role responsibility, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required.
