Typical Day in the Life

A typical day as an Senior BI Consultant may include the following:

• Manage the full Business Intelligence lifecycle experience by transforming raw data through applying business rules, auditing, and staging data
• Present new ideas and process changes to stakeholders and lead process change implementations, monitoring, measuring and providing feedback throughout
• Help identify KPIs for departments throughout the company
• Ensure database administration functions are performed effectively and in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Design and develop ETL packages to extract data from multiple sources and load into data warehouse
• Design dashboards and reports with data visualization tools (Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
• Create fact and dimension tables to support OLAP cubes
• Use problem-solving and creativity to apply appropriate metrics in the creation of compelling and thorough analyses
• Link process details to the big picture by considering our client's business goals and objectives when developing recommendations

 

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field is required
• 10+ years related experience as a business analyst, technology or business consultant, or operations manager is required
• 5+ years of Business Intelligence solutions design and implementation experience is required.
• Strong analytical background and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate complex quantitative analyses and business needs in a clear, precise, and actionable manner to diverse audiences
• Highly proficient in tools used for data analysis and reporting (SQL, Excel, Tableau)
• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
• Proactively take ownership for assigned tasks and projects, ensuring high-quality results for individual and team deliverables
• Ability to work within a diverse project team consisting of people from across all parts of the organization -- across departments and geographies
• Ability to balance the introduction of new ideas, approaches and strategies with the practical requirements of the business
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Accountable for consistent chargeability levels and for assisting in meeting or exceeding revenue and client satisfaction goals.

Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
